ABC Run #95 is March 8

by Merlin Anderson (abcrunner@frontier.com)

ABC Run/Walk #95  will be hosted by Robyn Walter at 1407 Norma Drive, Bloomington on Saturday, March 8 at 8:00 a.m. (doors open at 7:30 a.m.).

(note the date change from March 15 to March 8)

(directions: from Veterans Parkway, go east on GE Road, then turn right on Norma Drive).

ABC #95 will support the Mclean County Child Protection Network.

The Child Protection Network (CPN) is the umbrella organization for the Children’s Advocacy Center and the Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) Program.
The Children’s Advocacy Center is the front door for children to come through when there have been allegations of sexual and/or serious physical abuse. In McLean, Livingston and DeWitt Counties, DCFS and law enforcement are required to bring children to our centers to be interviewed by a forensic specialist. This is part of a multi-disciplinary team approach that provides a child friendly environment focused on reducing trauma to child victims. The CASA Program trains community volunteers to advocate for the abused and neglected children who have been removed from their biological family and placed into foster care.  For more information, go to http://mcleancpn.org

As always, ABC runs are free, with a free-will offering of cash or checks (make checks payable to “McLean County Child Protection Network”.

Run 3 miles, 6 miles, 9 miles, or as much as you want.  Water/Gatorade will be placed at the Japanese Gardens (about 3 miles from Robyn’s home).

Brunch!  After the run/walk (or just show up for the brunch), Robyn will be serving:

(1) Meg’s coffee cake

(2)  A couple of casseroles

(3)  Fruit

(4) Beverages -- OJ, coffee, chocolate milk, and for those who would like an extra special recovery drink: Mimosas!

Bring something to share if you wish.

Merlin & Meg
