ABC Run #97 is May 17

by Merlin Anderson (abcrunner@frontier.com)

ABC Run #97 to benefit the Easter Seals Timber Pointe Outdoor Center will be held at the Easter Seals Center, Lake Bloomington on Saturday, May 17.  Run will start at 8:00 a.m.

Timber Pointe is where the Run The Woods 5K is held.  The driveway is near the 4 mile mark of the Lake Run 12K course.

The Lake Run Club is once again joining with The Tri-Shark Club and Masters Swimmers to have a really fun day of multi-sport training.

For those that want to run only, it will be just the same as other ABC runs.  All donations go to the Easter Seals Timber Pointe Outdoor Center.
If donating by check, make check payable to
 Easter Seals -UPC.

For those that would also like to swim and/or bike, this is a great opportunity to add to an awesome adventure.

Here is the schedule of events:
8 AM ABC Run: 4 & 8 mile road courses (the 5K and 8K trail courses will also be available) - Proceeds benefiting Timber Pointe Outdoor Center, Easter Seals.

10:30 AM Bike: 12 mile bike or 26 mile bike

This event will be conducted rain or shine!  We have a great facility to hang out and eat.

Please go to the LRC Facebook posting to let them know if you are coming – that will affect how much food to prepare.   Bring friends, bring family….

About Timber Pointe:

Timber Pointe, which is owned by Easter Seals, provides special needs and inclusive camp sessions for children and adults ages 7 and up. Campers participate in traditional camp activities such as swimming, fishing, boating, arts & crafts, target sports, music, and horseback riding. It is an experience of outdoor life for kids and adults whose health issues make these activities often seem impossible. To help support Timber Pointe, all participants are asked to make a donation to the camp for the day. Any amount is welcomed, though at least ten dollars is strongly encouraged!
