2nd Annual Run for Hope 10K Set To Run

Bloomington, IL – Home Sweet Home Ministries has announced the date for the 2nd Annual Run For Hope 10K. The race will take place on Sunday, March 29, 2015, along the west end of the Constitution Trail beginning and ending at the organization’s Warehouse Operations location at 1700 W. Washington St in Bloomington. Proceeds from the event will benefit the programs and services at Home Sweet Home Ministries.

Last year’s event was a great success for Home Sweet Home Ministries with 150 runners participating and nearly $7,000 being raised. The 2015 race will add a 5K race and “chip timing” that allows for greater accuracy for race results. ”

This distance and route offers runners a unique opportunity to race in the beautiful open country of West Bloomington and McLean County and utilizes an amazing section of the Constitution Trail. Home Sweet Home Ministries has been part of the west side of Bloomington since 1919 and we believe in its future. That is why we chose to hold the race at our Warehouse Operations location,” explains Matt Drat, Development and Community Relations Manager at Home Sweet Home Ministries.

“We are excited to be partnering with Home Sweet Home Ministries for this 2nd annual event.” shares Julie Sibley, co-‐owner of Fleet Feet Sports Bloomington, Presenting Sponsor of the Run For Hope 10K. “There are not many opportunities to run the 10K distance locally and we are glad to be able to work with Home Sweet Home Ministries on this event.” adds Sibley.
