Fleet Feet Sports joins InterVol as Official Running Partner at
2017 Marine Corps Marathon
InterVol is proud to announce that Fleet Feet Sports has joined forces to support InterVol’s team of runners at this year’s Marine Corps Marathon, scheduled for October 22, 2017, in Arlington, VA.
InterVol secured more than 100 bibs in the nation’s fourth largest marathon, ninth largest marathon in the world, earlier this year. Those runners signing up to participate with Team InterVol will pledge to raise at least $750 for InterVol — a not-for-profit organization dedicated to improving the health of those around the world by recovering and distributing medical supplies and providing medical services to those who need it the most.
Runners supporting Team InterVol will receive a complimentary Full Marathon Training Program through Fleet Feet Sports, the Official Running Partner and Running Store of Team InterVol, nutritional and motivational support, as well as assistance with fundraising tools so they can reach their goals, both in the United States Capital on marathon day and through their fundraising efforts.
In addition to the Full Marathon Training Program provided by Fleet Feet Sports, complimentary registration in the Rochester Half Marathon on Sunday, September 17, 2017, is included for all runners registering to run with Team InterVol.
There are two levels of fundraising support: $750 and $1,500. Those runners raising $750 will receive a bib for the 2017 Marine Corps Marathon on October 22, 2017, a custom running singlet, Full Marathon Training Program through Fleet Feet Sports, and registration in the Rochester Half Marathon on September 17, 2017. Runners raising $1,500 will receive a bib for the 2017 Marine Corps Marathon on October 22, 2017, a custom running singlet, coach transportation for two from Washington, DC, to the National Marine Corps Museum in Quantico, VA, a private pasta luncheon at the museum, Full Marathon Training Program through Fleet Feet Sports, and registration in the Rochester Half Marathon on September 17, 2017.
Public registration in this highly coveted marathon was determined via a lotto system in March. The marathon is now sold out, and a limited number of registration slots are available through InterVol.
Those interested in joining Team InterVol should visit www.intervol.org for more details on how to register. You may contact InterVol’s Marathon Coordinator, Nicole Jones, at 585-922-1997 or Nicole.Jones@InterVol.org. Register to run with Team InterVol at www.intervol.org.
