As a marathoner, Saucony runner and Olympian Molly Huddle runs a lot of miles, sometimes in heavy training cycles, she’ll dip into the double digits. In a month, that can mean over 400 miles. You get the picture: she wears through shoes fast. As a Saucony-sponsored athlete, she receives all the training and racing shoes she needs and also tests early prototypes before anyone else. “I got to do this with the new Ride ISO,” Huddle says. “I did a lot of shorter runs in the early prototypes. I asked Saucony to add more room to the toe box, and I let them know my thoughts about the new materials.”
After multiple rounds of testing—both in the lab and on the roads—Huddle, along with the team at Saucony came up with the final version available today (in limited distribution till May 15). Here’s an early look at the shoe from Huddle and our team at Fleet Feet HQ:
