Join us for the 2021 Virtual Bidwell Classic
5K, 10k and Half Marathon
BENEFITS STUDENT ATHLETES
A substantial portion of the race entry fees go to the local high school cross country running programs. When you participate in the Bidwell Classic, you are supporting local student athletes.
Online registration closes at 5:00pm on Friday March 5th 2021. No in person registration will be available during packet pickup or during race week(s).
Packet pickup will be available Tuesday March 2nd- Friday March 5th 10:00am-6:00pm
Any participants that live outside of the Chico, CA area can request to have their packet shipped by emailing shawna@fleetfeetchico.com

When: Saturday March 6th- Sunday March 14th 2021
Where: Lower Bidwell Park/ Sycamore Field (or a location of your choosing)
5K, 10k and Half Marathon run and fun walk: Anytime of day during 3/6-3/14/21
Entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Every registered entrant will receive a 2021 race shirt. To guarantee your shirt size register before February 23rd. All registrations after February 23rd will be subject to availability and size. All shirts can be exchanged on or after March 14th, 2021. Any extra shirts will be available for sell on March 14th for $15.00 each.
COURSE CERTIFICATION AND MAPS
Both are flat, paved, and free of traffic. All events start and finish at One Mile Recreation Area in Lower Bidwell Park.

PACKET PICKUP
to avoid large crowds for packet pickup we are offering a four day long packet pickup at Fleet Feet Chico (241 Main St in downtown Chico) If you are located outside of the Chico, CA area and would like your race packet mailed to you, you can request a packet to be shipped by emailing shawna@fleetfeetchico.com
DIRECTIONS AND PARKING
This race is virtual, but you do have the option to run the original race course if you are in the Chico area.
To the course: Enter Chico via Highway 99 either from the north or from the south. If you are coming from the north on 99, take the Highway 32 offramp and turn right at the first intersection. If you are coming from the south on 99, take the 32 offramp and turn left at the second intersection. Now you're heading west on 32 (East 8th St). From here,
Take 8th St just under a half-mile, then turn right on Sycamore St.
Sycamore St runs a few blocks into Woodland Ave, which runs parallel to the park. The park itself will be closed to vehicle traffic on race day, so find a parking spot on or near Woodland Ave. Please be courteous and park legally. Do not park in a way that blocks local residents' entry to or exit from their homes.
There are several entrances to the One Mile Recreation Area from Woodland Ave.
To Fleet Feet packet pickup: As above, from Highway 99 head west on Highway 32 (East 8th St).
Take 8th St about a mile then turn right on Main St. Drive north on Main St. Fleet Feet is located between 2nd and 3rd Streets. Fleet Feet's phone number is 530 345-1000.
TIMING
Because this race is virtual this year, we will not have any official timing for the race. All race times will be self timed using your choice of self timer. You will submit your self timed race time on our results page after you complete your run. This entry can be made by a downloaded .csv file or a manual time entry.
AID STATIONS AND RESTROOMS
No aid stations for the virtual course.
Restroom on the course are located at One Mile recreation on the North and South side of the pool, Cedar Grove Park, and Pettersen Dr. park entrance. Water fountains are available at all restrooms with exception to the porta-potty at Petersen Drive. Additional water station found on Peterson drive, a half mile from the porta-potty.
RULES
Dogs, strollers, bicycles, unicycles, tricycles, inline skates, roller skates, or skateboards are typically not allowed on the course, but this year because we are virtual, this will not be enforced. Bring the pup and the kids on the bikes and make it a family event!
Be courteous when overtaking slower runners or walkers in your elected race location. We want you to race hard and fast, but with safety of yourself and others in mind.

Entrants registering after February 23rd receive shirts while supply lasts. Shirts will not be available to order after February 23rd, so sizes and quantity will be limited. Exchanges and all leftover shirts will be available for sell on March 14th on a first come first serve basis. Cost will be $15.00 each
AWARDS FOR TOP FINISHERS
Because all race entries are on a honor system will will be awarding random awards based on completion.
1. Winner to the top .csv downloaded time in the 5k, 10k and Half for Men and women
2. Winner for the most "average" time. (based on times and number of participants) male and female in each race
3. Winner for the top age graded male and female in each race
4. Winner for the slowest participant in each race
5. Winner for the most spirited runner in each race. (tagged pictures to @fleetfeetchico on any social medial platform)
