Summer Sizzler Success

The 5th annual Summer Sizzler took place on August 11th at Cedar Grove in Bidwell Park. With the weather this year the event really lived up to its name. Attendance was up by 25% and there were plenty of fast race times. Said Alan Rice, co-owner of Fleet Feet, "We broadened our support this year to help four local non-profit organizations rather than just one. This really helped to drive up attendance numbers".

Fleet Feet teamed up with Madison Bear Garden to host the Summer Sizzler Bash, a post-race celebration for Summer Sizzler participants. "This was a new idea and people loved that they could get cleaned up after the race and come to the award ceremony later in the day. Thanks to the Bear for hosting and putting on live music for the runners", said Sarah Hasegawa, Race Director for the Summer Sizzler.
