ASICS Blue Jean Mile
For Jason Hannigan. Saturday, May 6 at 6pm. Regiser HERE.
In 2020, ASICS athlete Johnny Gregorek set the world record for the fastest mile run in blue jeans in a blistering 4:06.25. His goal for the event was to raise awareness and funds for mental illness after his brother committed suicide.
We are teaming up with our friends at 2-4-1 Sports to bring the ASICS Blue Jean Mile to Hartford in honor of our friend, coach and Conard HS graduate, Jason Hannigan, who took his life after an ongoing battle with his own mental health.
The event is open to adults and kids. There will be an Elite Heat for runners looking to set the record in Hartford – maybe even break Gregorak’s record! The male and female winners of the Elite heat will win ASICS shoes.
So pull out your favorite pair of blue jeans and join us as we celebrate Jason’s life (he loved crazy fitness challenges) and raise money for programs that support mental health and fitness programs for kids in Hartford.
