Have you ever thought about what it would look like to “live better longer”?

We live in a world riddled with heart disease, Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s and diabetes. I have personally seen the effect of how these diseases rob a person of their independence, making them frail and feeble as their health and vitality spiral downward. I don’t want to suffer a painful old age, and I bet you don’t either. 

That’s why we're excited to be partnering with Stephanie Blozy and four other experts in the field of health and wellness to host “Override Your Health” - a free 6-week community wellness challenge inspired by the New York Times bestselling book, Outlive, by Dr. Peter Attia.

In his book, Dr. Attia explains the science and art of longevity. These are the things we need to do to not just extend the length of our lives, but to extend our healthspan too! 

While our physical abilities naturally decline with age, we can slow those declines by maximizing our health right now! Even little changes in our hydration, nutrition, exercise, sleep and mental wellness can yield big results; which is why our challenge centers around those six themes.

In conjunction with Dr.Attia, we want to help teach you that longevity is malleable. No matter our current age, we have the power to create a better life for our future selves. We have to be the author of our own story. 

While the challenge itself is virtual with bi-weekly e-newsletters and a private Facebook group for support, tips and a wealth of knowledge, we are hosting an in-person Wellness Fair to kick-off our Challenge on Saturday, September 9 from 11am-1pm (scroll for details).

I say “our challenge” because I’ve teamed up with five experts in the health and wellness field to help guide us through this 6-week challenge: Dr. Christine Najjar (Food First MD), Eric April (Override Athletics), Erin Prather (Fleet Feet), Jon Maneen, DPT (Rebound Performance PT) & Michele Beaule (Imagine Float).

I’ve personally worked all of these people to improve my healthspan, and most importantly, trust to help you do the same. You will be captivated by their extensive knowledge in their fields and motivated by their passion.

Wellness Fair

Override Your Health Wellness Fair & Challenge Kick-off

Saturday, September 9  |  11am – 1pm

Override North – 50 Tower Lane, Avon (near the Whole Foods)

 FREE!  Food!  Fantastic Raffle Prizes!!

 Join our experts and other special guests (Bela Vida Café & Small State Provisions!) as we kick off our Challenge with a series of baseline tests that will give you a better sense of your current health status including:

 Hydration Level/Total Body Water

  • Grip Strength
  • Aerobic Capacity
  • Hip & Knee Health/Strength
  • Gait/foot analysis
  • Injury assessments
  • Functional movement screen
  • InBody/Body Composition Scan ($25 for 2)

Tests will be held multiple times throughout the Wellness Fair so come any time between 11am-1pm.  

Please wear sneakers and athletic clothes if you want to participate in testing. 

We will host a similar event post-challenge to re-test and measure your progress.

The Experts will also be happy to answer questions and provide further details on the various challenges to help set you up for success.
