The Big Run 5k - Run with Us!

Celebrate National Running Day by...going for a run with us!  

On June 7, Fleet Feet Sports locations nationwide will host a local 5K race. All results will funnel up into a national leader board to determine who is the fastest runner in the country. But speed isn't the only thing that counts. We want to see the whole community participate because, seriously, running together rocks. Let us recap the ways:

1. You get to join Fleet Feet Sports communities across the country in doing something we've never done before—a nationally-coordinated 5K race taking place in different locations all on the same day.
2. It's on a Wednesday—who couldn't use a mid-week pump-up?
3. Every finisher gets a medal. Not just any medal. A HUGE, make-your-friends-jealous medal.
4. Over $10,000 in prizes will be awarded nationally
5. Post race party featuring Thomas Hooker Beer, Ben & Jerry's ice cream, Dunkin Donuts, Generation UCAN and Radio 104.1 spinning some great tunes.

Here in Hartford, we are partnering with Riverfront Recapture and the Connecticut River Valley Chamber of Commerce to host the event at the beautiful Great River Park (check out course map here). The Big Run coincides with Global Running Day and is open to runners of all levels and abilities.
