Wild River Dash: Boise's ONLY Paddle + Run Duathlon

Join the Excitement at the Fourth Annual Wild River Dash Duathlon!

The Treasure Valley’s only paddle and run duathlon is back, and it’s bigger and better than ever! We’re thrilled to invite you to the Fourth Annual Wild River Dash hosted by Wild Hearts Idaho—a family-friendly, all-ages event that celebrates women, the great outdoors, and the spirit of adventure.

Mark your calendars for Saturday, August 24, 2024, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm at the beautiful Esther Simplot Park. This unique event combines paddling and running into one fun-filled duathlon. The course kicks off with an exciting paddle across Quinn’s Pond, followed by a picturesque 2-mile loop run on the Boise Greenbelt. You can participate as an individual or team up for a relay, with one person paddling and the other running.

Why Participate?

Not only will you have a blast, but you’ll also be supporting a great cause. All proceeds from the Wild River Dash go directly towards breaking down transportation barriers for Wild Hearts Idaho’s outdoor adventure programs. This ensures every girl has safe and reliable transportation for their adventures, empowering them to explore, grow, and lead.

Age Groups: Adults 18+, Teens 12-17, Kids 5-11

Course Details:

• Adults and Teens: 0.5-mile paddle across Quinn’s Pond & 2-mile run on the Greenbelt
• Kids: 0.25-mile paddle in Quinn’s Pond & 1-mile run around the pond

Additional Perks

Free Stand-Up Paddle Boards: Don’t have your own gear? No worries! Hydrus Board Tech and Idaho River Sports will provide stand-up paddleboards for free. Just contact Idaho River Sports to reserve your free rental after registering.

After Party: After the race, join the party with a complimentary beer from Lost Grove Brewing, available to all volunteers and racers (21+). Everyone in the family can kick back and enjoy the food trucks while enjoying music from the Boise Rock School.
