Justin Hart - Carnes Crossroads Half Marathon Coach
FF: Why should someone sign up for a Fleet Feet training program?
JUSTIN: The FF training programs offers seasoned mentors who will help motivate you with each step taken. We have a weekly schedule (homework) for the participants that guide them through the days that we don't meet as a group and also give them guidance on the days that they can't attend the group training. You'll make friends along the way who motivate you to reach your race goals and these relationships usually last well beyond the training program.
FF: Why do you love being a coach?
JUSTIN: Coaching inspires me to follow my own advice. The core work, dynamic stretching, and cross training are all important factors that help reduce the likelihood of injury and make you a better runner. Also, watching the participants improve physically and mentally is really amazing. I learn something new from each training session I coach. Individual participants have individual needs, strengths, and weaknesses. Having an open dialogue and understanding what works and doesn't work for them helps me help them reach their training goals.
FF: What is one random fact about yourself that your participants might find interesting?
JUSTIN: I was never very good at running when in high school track or cross-country. I didn't start developing as a runner until my late 30's and I now run faster and farther in my 40's than I did as a teenager.

FF: What is one random fact about yourself that your participants might find interesting?
