Faces of Fleet Feet: Cathy Taylor
For the past few months, we've been highlighting our outfitters and staff to not only put a face to a name, but also introduce the stories of wonderful people that construct the team and atmosphere that you'll experience at Fleet Feet.
Today, we're excited to highlight outfitter & inventory specialist, Cathy Taylor.
How did you get started in run specialty (or at Fleet Feet)?
My husband and I moved to Washington about a year ago. I had gone into Fleet Feet to pick up a race packet for an upcoming 5K and saw that they were hiring. I applied for the job and was hired!
What do you do outside of Fleet Feet?
When I'm not at work, you can find me outside exploring with my husband and our three dogs or in the gym. I love a good book or a funny movie.
What stands out to you about working at Fleet Feet?
The customers, no matter what they are coming in for. I love the conversations I get to have with people while I'm helping them find their perfect shoe.
What's your go-to shoe and why?
My current go-to road shoe is the Brooks Adrenaline, I love the cushion and support it gives me. In the gym, it's the Mizuno Waveknit, I love the spring it has.
Do you have any exciting race stories or big running accomplishments?
I've always enjoyed running and have done dozens of 5K's. In August, I'll be doing my first trail run ever! I'm super excited to complete the Mud and Chocolate Gnome Run in Sammamish!
