Faces of Fleet Feet: Claire Lowe
We're excited to continue our "Faces of Fleet Feet" series featuring the wonderful staff that make our in-store atmosphere so special. These features serve to bridge the gap and make those faces you see in the store every day that much more familiar. If you haven't read the previous ones, be sure to check them out!
Today, we're excited to highlight outfitter, Claire Lowe.
How did you get started in run specialty (or at Fleet Feet)?
I love running, I started in cross country 5 years ago and knew that I would love working with the the customers and with my coworkers at Fleet Feet. I saw that Fleet Feet was hiring and I thought it would be the perfect opportunity for me to get some work in while being around the people I enjoy the most.
What do you do outside of Fleet Feet?
I love to trail run, run, and travel! Getting to explore new places is one of my favorite things to do in my free time.
What stands out to you about working at Fleet Feet?
Getting to meet new people and share stories with my customers is what stands out to me the most. Everyone is so nice and the environment is very inviting. Another thing that makes my heart warm is that my coworkers sometimes bring goodies for me to munch on sometimes because they know how much I enjoy food, if that isn’t love then I don’t know what is.
What's your go-to shoe and why?
My go-to shoe is the Brooks Launch because it’s light, but still cushioned enough to get the long miles in.
Do you have any exciting race stories or big running accomplishments?
The past two years I was able to run on a high school team for the Ragnar Relay at Crystal Mountain here in Washington. I start training for my next relay in a month! I’m a cross country and track runner at Green River College, my upcoming 5k goal is to break 22 minutes. For track I will be training for the Heptathlon.
