Faces of Fleet Feet: Samantha Quigle
We're excited to continue our "Faces of Fleet Feet" series featuring the wonderful staff that make our in-store atmosphere so special. These features serve to bridge the gap and make those faces you see in the store every day that much more familiar. If you haven't read the previous ones, be sure to check them out!
Today, we're excited to highlight Team Lead, Sam Quigle.
How did you get started in run specialty (or at Fleet Feet)?
An amazing friend of mine decided to bring Fleet Feet to our community back in Illinois and I was hooked! We built a really supportive community through training programs and store events.
What do you do outside of Fleet Feet?
I go on adventures with my wife, Rebecca. Mostly, we like to play outside - running, biking, skating, kayaking, or hiking. We love exploring all the landscapes the Pacific Northwest has to offer! We'll also chill over a warm cup of coffee or cold delicious beer while we play Scrabble, Farkle, chess or maybe work on a puzzle.
What stands out to you about working at Fleet Feet?
Our focus on helping our community feel better doing whatever they do, whether that's running, walking, hiking, working, or just running errands.
What's your go-to shoe and why?
Right now I'm really enjoying the ON Cloudventure for trail running and the Mizuno Wave Rider for road running. The Cloudventure feels really responsive and light for a trail shoe, but it can also handle whatever terrain I encounter.
Do you have any exciting race stories or big running accomplishments?
It may be a little closer to "crazy" than "exciting", but I decided to do my first half marathon, sprint triathlon, and full marathon in the same year. And it was just one year after completing my first 5k!
