Faces of Fleet Feet: Sharon Brimhall

To help you get to know us better, we're continuing with our "Faces of Fleet Feet" series featuring the wonderful staff that make our in-store atmosphere so special. These features serve to bridge the gap and make those faces you see in the store every day that much more familiar.

Today, we're excited to feature outfitter, Sharon Brimhall.

How did you get started in run specialty (or at Fleet Feet)?
I needed a change in career after many years working in the healthcare field. The idea of helping people to become more active or to overcome a foot issue and be able to enjoy walking once again was very fulfilling to me.

What do you do outside of Fleet Feet?
I love to trail run and hike in the area where I live. I love being outside and being able to be in the woods and to view waterfalls! I love the large group of friends I've made through running. I enjoy walking my dog, as he’s a little old now to run with me. For inside hobbies I like to scrapbook and my husband and I like to create dinners together.

What stands out to you about working at Fleet Feet?
I enjoy helping runners find their next shoe to continue their running goals I really like to help people suffering from foot issues find the best shoe they've ever had before. To see the relief on their faces when they experience a great shoe and maybe an insole is the best feeling! I enjoy the conversations we have and the no rush, no pressure atmosphere of our Fleet Feet store.

What's your go-to shoe and why?
I am enjoying the Hoka trail shoe the Speedgoat for hiking and trail runs. The Brooks Ghost is my current road shoe and I love the cushion it gives me for longer runs.

Do you have any exciting race stories or big running accomplishments?
I ran two 30K trail races in 2018 and this summer I will run my first 50K trail race. I'm looking forward to the training involved in accomplishing this goal!
