Feel the WHOA!
The new ISOFIT upper features a plush inner fit sleeve with a flexible external cage that allows it to dynamically adapt to the foot in motion.
One of the benefits of working in a running store is that you often get sneak previews of new shoe models before they hit the shelves, and in many cases, before they even go into mass production. Several months ago, our Saucony sales rep, Andrea, came by the store with samples of models debuting this winter and next spring. Among them was the new Triumph ISO. Sample shoes generally come in only a men's 9.5 and a women's 8, and we all have huge feet, but because the new Triumph looked so great, many of us insisted on slipping it on anyway. The response was consistent: "Whoa!" Great feeling shoe.
To create the new Triumph, Saucony's engineers focused on integrating maximum cushioning into a lightweight package. They added about 20% more cushioning to their existing POWERGRID platform to create PWRGRID+. The new ISOFIT upper features a plush inner fit sleeve with a flexible external cage that allows it to dynamically adapt to the foot in motion.
As always, the best way to experience these updates is to try the shoe on yourself! And Saucony will be holding a special contest for people who do try it on.
On Wednesday, November 12th, we'll be hosting a special WHOA! Brew Run at Raleigh Brewing Company. You'll have the opportunity to give the new Triumph a test run. Our Saucony tech rep, Erin, will be there with a photobooth to document your post-run "WHOA face." Post the image to Twitter or Instagram, along with the hashtag #whoaface, and tag @fleetfeetral for the chance to win great prizes. Two winners from NC and Virginia will receive a Garmin 620 GPS watch and a Garmin Vivofit activity monitor, and one lucky national winner will receive a trip for two to the Vancouver Marathon. WHOA!
