This stability shoe is lightweight and smooth, so you will hardly notice that it is underfoot. ASICS updated the cushioning to make it softer with a more energizing toe-off. The stability technology makes this an ideal choice for those with flexible arches or who overpronate. Plus, with its sleek new style, it looks as good going out as it feels on your run.
Features
- Upper: Engineered mesh upper with an improved lean-back Achilles construction around the heel to prevent irritation.
- Midsole: The FF Blast Plus™ cushioning creates a softer overall feel while producing a more energetic toe-off. It is combined with ASICS PureGEL™ technology in the rearfoot that helps for softer and smoother transitions.
- Stability: ASICS’ 3D Guidance System™, which includes a wider base, increased heel bevel and increased forefoot flare. It creates advanced stability for those who overpronate and gives you smooth transitions.
- Outsole: AHARPLUS™, a durable rubber for high-wear areas. It has a full ground contact to help with stability. AHAR™ low-density outsole is also used to save weight and increase flexibility where it is needed.

What’s New
This has been the year for major changes to ASICS shoes and the GT-2000 v12 is no exception. ASICS added the FF Blast™ Plus cushioning to the new version, making it softer underfoot and giving it more energy at toe-off. Plus, they added 1 mm of additional midsole stack height. In the heel, new PureGEL™ technology is 65% softer than the previous gel, which provides advanced impact absorption.
ASICS updated the stability technology to their 3D Guidance System™, which includes a wider base, full-ground contact design, and increased heel bevel/forefoot flare to give you smooth transitions.
They also made the upper sleeker and more modern, including redesigning the heel with a lean-back Achilles construction that flares to reduce irritation against the back of the foot.
