Arriving in early April, the updated Asics GEL-Cumulus remains a straightforward neutral cushioned everyday trainer in which you can pile on the miles. A full-length FLYTEFOAM midsole combines well with a GEL insert to provide soft cushioning in the heel and a firmer, more responsive sensation, in the forefoot. Well-placed flex grooves contribute to flexibility where you need it. Version 23 also uses Asics’ new 3D space construction under the heel to provide stability — it compresses in a predictable, structured way. A thick engineered mesh upper provides both breathability and durability. The updated Cumulus 23 really is a “do-it-all” shoe.
