ASICS GEL-Nimbus 26

The latest update of the ASICS GEL-Nimbus has arrived at Fleet Feet Albany & Malta. ASICS has made several tweaks to the shoe. First, although the midsole is still 40+ millimeters of FF BLAST PLUS ECO foam, the formulation seems to have slightly changed. This midsole is slightly firmer than the Nimbus 25. Not a bad thing as this makes the shoe a bit more responsive. It also feels a little less squishy. Second, new HYPBRID ASICSGRIP provides excellent grip in all conditions, improving some traction issues of former models. There is also more AHAR+ rubber on the outsole, also contributing to better traction and durability. This version’s midsole is made of 20% bio-based content. Not much has changed on the Nimbus 26 upper. Importantly, the stretchy knit tongue (Isn’t this best tongue on a running shoe?) remains!
