New Balance 880 v14

The updated 880, arriving at the end of February, incorporates several changes primarily to differentiate itself from the plush-cushioned and very soft 1080 v13. For the first time, the 880 has a heel-to-toe offset of 8 millimeters. This works well with the new use of one type of foam — Freshfoam X — in the entire midsole for a smoother ride underfoot. Although cushioned, compared to the current 1080, the 880 v14 is firmer, more stable, and more responsive. This is an everyday trainer that can be used for all of your mileage; or, when paired with the 1080 v13, used for your tempo and speedier efforts.
