The Endorphin Elite is, according to Saucony, “the lightest, fastest and most energy efficient shoe that the brand has ever made.” Using a newly designed carbon plate that is slotted in the forefoot, the Endorphin Elite has a more aggressive Speedroll than the Endorphin Pro 3. The midsole consists of Saucony’s new PWRRUN HG — a foam that is reputed to have a 95% energy return in lab tests. The unique upper features a prominent midfoot lacing system and strap around the heel to keep the foot locked down at fast paces. The heel stack height is 39.5 mm, which brings it in right at the legal limit. Why not?
