Saucony Kinvara Pro

The brand-new Saucony Kinvara Pro has arrived at Fleet Feet Albany & Malta. This shoe is helping to create a new category of running shoe, the “Super Trainer”: a plated shoe with a supercritical foam midsole that is designed for everyday use, not just racing. The Kinvara Pro has the largest stack height of any Saucony shoe, coming in at 42 millimeters in the heel and 34 millimeters in the forefoot, with an 8 millimeter drop. Despite this high stack height, wear-testers and reviewers have commented on the Kinvara Pro’s stability. The bottom layer of the midsole is PWRRUN, an EVA-based foam that is used in the ubiquitous Saucony Ride — It’s a bit on the firmer side. The middle layer of foam is PWRRUN PB, as expanded TPU-based foam that is used in the Endorphin Pro. This foam has that great combination of soft, light, and responsive. The top layer of the Kinvara Pro is PWRRUN+ — the same super-cushioned foam used in the plush-cushioned Saucony Triumph. These foams combine for a smooth ride that is supported by a 3/4 length carbon plate that really takes advantage of Saucony’s Speedroll geometry. The Kinvara Pro is probably best for getting in those long miles in a smooth, efficient, and stable manner.
