Katy Trail
- Starting point: Reverchon Park, 3505 Maple Avenue (although there are numerous entry points)

- Distance: 3.5 miles
One of the most historic and popular running trails in Downtown Dallas, this rail trail runs through Uptown and Oak Lawn areas of Dallas. Formerly the Missouri-Kansas-Texas Railroad, it was converted to a running, walking and biking path that is known as the “Katy.”
The trail is 3.5 miles in length with both concrete and rubber paths for runners. It has multiple points of entry and tends to be busy in the morning and evening.
White Rock Lake Trail
- Starting point: 8300 Garland Rd, Dallas, TX 75218
- Surface: paved

- Distance: 9.1 mile loop
Located in East Dallas, the White Rock Lake Trail is a staple in the running community. Perfect for long runs, you can run a loop of 9.1 miles while enjoying the beautiful views across the lake.
There is plenty to do at this park with a dog park, arboretum, tennis courts, paddling and more. With multiple places to park along the lake it is very convenient too.

Cedar Ridge Preserve
- Starting point: 7171 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, TX 75249
- Surface: trails

- Distances: 9 miles of interlooping trails
Audubon nature preserve offers 9 miles of hiking trails through 600 acres of nature with beautiful views. Located 18 miles southwest of Dallas this is a popular location for walkers, runners, and hikers alike.
The preserve is open from Tuesday through Sunday, 6:30 a.m. to dusk, they lock the gates one hour after sunset. They are closed on Mondays and typically after it rains.
