Why if I am having trouble making into the store to shop or pick up my order?
We strive to offer the best customer service in our store and would love to accomodate everyone as much as possible. Please contact the store if you would like to coordinate a time to come shop and we would be happy to work something out with you! If you are having trouble picking up your order, dont forget that Fleet Feet Hoboken offers delivery for orders within our one square mile town as well as drive up service. Be sure to call ahead and let us know when you are coming and we will run your order outside to you!
What is the difference between a walking and running shoe?
There is no different between a walking and running shoe! The best running shoe manufacturers also make the best walking shoes, the biggest difference is appearance and cushoning. Running shoes work just fine for walking, in fact the body works in a very similar way when doing the two exercises, and the additional cushion and durability offered in running shoes may make walking even better! Most walkers are actually wearing running shoes for their exercise.
Is there a 'best' running shoe for everyone?
There isn't a best shoe for everyone, but there is a best shoe for you. There is such a significant difference between how everyone's feet work, that what one person likes may not work as well for you. The best way to find the 'best' shoe for you is to go through a fitting so we can see just how your foot works and is shaped. We offer fittings in the store so come on by and let our team find your 'best' running shoe!
Do I need an appointment for a shoe fitting? How long does it take?
You do not need an appointment for a shoe fitting. Plan to spend 20-30 minutes with us for your initial fitting. Some customers take a little more time and some a little less so stop by anytime! We also offer insole fittings and have a variety of insoles in the store to help you find the perfect one!
What if the shoes I select don't feel great after wearing them while I exercise?
Trying a shoe on in the store and wearing them on a run are very different. We do our best to find a shoe that will work just right for you and one that you will feel good in after exercise. However, if you do get a couple of workouts in your shoes and they don't feel great, please bring them back and we'll work with you to make the product right (via insole, lacing, ect) or re-fit and find a replacement product that does work for you. Even if the shoes are worn, we will take them back within 60 days of purchase.
What is the Return Policy?
We accept Returns or Exchanges on Apparel and Accessory purchases within 60 days. All Footwear returns are eligible for Store Credit/Exchange Only. Sandals, Bob Strollers, Yoga Mats, Underwear, and Sale Items are Final Sale. Special order sales are final, assuming there are no defects with the products.
What is a Special Order?
A special order is an order which in some way goes outside our current product mix (thus making it special). If you would like to order a special product from a vendor we conduct business with, we are happy to help you. However, as a small family owned and operated business, inventory control is an ever-pressing issue. It is virtually impossible to sell one item of one particular style as it is cannot be displayed. As part of the special order process, we ask for a good-faith gesture on your behalf, such as leaving a credit card number or small deposit. This is just a way of assuring us that you truly intend to purchase your special order. Nothing will ever be charged to you prior to receiving your product and notifying you it has arrived.
