This version continues the Kinvara tradition of a lightweight shoe with smooth and consistent cushion. The heel-to-toe drop remains 4 mm, but the weight drops to a feathery 7.7 ounces for men and 6.7 ounces for women.

The most notable change is to the upper, with a Pro-Lock lacing system creating a more locked-in feel for the mid-foot, and a re-designed collar creating a softer, yet more locked in feel around the top of the foot/ankle area. The addition of iBR+ mid-foot outsole pods create a much smoother transition from heel-to-toe, and is the only notable change to either the mid-sole or outsole.  The changes to the upper really change the way this shoe feels from previous versions.
