The Strassburg Sock helps alleviate pain associated with plantar fasciitis, heel spurs, and Achilles tendonitis. The tubular knit sock helps to maintain a low level stretch of the plantar fascia and Achilles tendon throughout the night as you sleep. Low level, long duration stretching has been proven effective in the lengthening of connective tissue such as fascia.
The sock is pulled over the foot and calf like a regular sock, and the tension of the stretch is adjusted by two straps; one around the calf and one on the toes. This stretch helps to decrease that “first step out of bed pain” that is commonly associated with plantar fasciitis.
