10th annual Six-Legged 5K raises more than $7,500 for local animal charities
Syracuse, N.Y. – The tenth annual Fleet Feet Sports Six-Legged 5K held Sunday, April 8 raised more than $7,500 for local animal charities. All proceeds from this year’s race will go to Paws Across Oswego County and Cuse Pit Crew.
Despite cold and snowy conditions, several hundred runners and their dogs participated in this out-and-back, untimed course on the East Shore Trail at Onondaga Lake Park.
They returned to the Saw Mill Creek Pavilion to enjoy bananas from Andy’s Produce and bagel sticks with cream cheese from Panera Bread in DeWitt. Thanks to both companies for their generous donations!
During the last 10 years, the Six-Legged 5K has raised nearly $80,000 for local animal charities.
