Traverse City offers a wide variety of terrain for runners of all abilities and experience levels. Visiting runners can look forward to four distinct seasons to put in the miles. Spring cherry blossoms, summer water views, fall colors, and winter's cold, quiet calm are just a few of the wonderful things that visitors can enjoy in Traverse City.
There are many miles of paved, relatively flat pathways that take you all around the city and surrounding areas with views of town, nature and the amazing bays and lakes.
Trail options are widely available for those who want to run on softer surfaces, too. Whether you’re looking for rolling hills or easy, flat courses there are options for everyone.
