Giving Tuesday and Beyond
2020 has been a challenging year, but it has also been an opportunity to find strength, look inward, and support and encourage one another. In a year characterized by physical distance we've seen communities come together in new ways to keep each other safe, help local businesses stay afloat, and fight for racial justice.
On a national level, you have helped Fleet Feet donate almost $70,000 to organizations who further the mission and purpose of Do the Run Thing, to create and nurture sustainable running communities that improve the health and happiness of the overall community.
Our commitment to promoting a healthy community goes beyond running, and this year Fleet Feet Raleigh/Morrisville has been able to support a variety of local organizations including Democracy North Carolina, Emancipate NC, and, thanks to your incredible response to our food drive last month, The Food Bank of Central and Easter NC. This month we invite you to join us in supporting InterAct, a Wake County nonprofit dedicated to ending the cycle of domestic and sexual violence. InterAct supports survivors and their families through crisis response and emergency shelter, counseling, court advocacy, community outreach, sexual assualt services, and much more.
December 1 through December 21, we will be collecting donations of new and unused hygiene products, household items, and other essentials at all three of our store locations. You can find a list of needed items below. InterAct is also accepting donations of new and unused facemasks (including homemade ones).
