House Creek Stream Cleanup

House Creek Community Stream Cleanup

Saturday, April 23 at 8 AM
Park at NC Museum of Art, 2110 Blue Ridge Rd., Raleigh
RSVP

Celebrate Earth Day Weekend by helping us clean up a section of House Creek!

The greenway along House Creek is one of our favorite places to run or walk, and we want to do our part to keep it clean.

We'll be picking up litter around the section of the creek intersecting with the Reedy Creek greenway trail, near the North Carolina Museum of Art. We will park at NCMA and walk about .8 mile on paved greenway to the creek. (Alternatively, you can park near our store at Ridgewood Shopping Center, also an approximate .8 mile walk along the greenway.)

We will provide grabbers, gloves, and trash bags. Wear visible clothing and shoes that you don't mind getting a little dirty!

*The City of Raleigh requires all stream cleanup volunteers to register and fill out a waiver online. If you plan to attend, register HERE first. Follow these instructions:

1. Select "Adopt a Stream Program" (Don't worry, this is not a binding commitment to adopt!)
2. To mark location, enter NCMA's address (2110 Blue Ridge Rd, Raleigh) and place your marker on House Creek (does not have to be exact). See example below.
3. Enter group name as "Fleet Feet Raleigh"
4. Enter stream selection as "House Creek"
5. Fill out your contact info. Look for a seperate email from DocuSign with a safety waiver to sign.
