Record-Setting Amaris Vasquez

On July 2nd, I had the pleasure of fitting Ms. Amaris Vazquez for a new pair of running shoes at FLEET FEET Chesterfield.  She was preparing to travel to Rochester, Minnesota to compete in the National Junior Disability Championships.  When posing for the above picture (which I posted on Facebook at the time) she stated, "My new shoes will make me faster!"  Her visit brightened our day.

I am thrilled to report that Amaris' shoes did indeed make her faster.  At the Championships, her time of 25.12 seconds for the 100 Meters set a new national 11 & Under Class T44 record!  Here is a picture of Amaris in action, courtesy of Sports 'N Spokes Magazine.  Check out her perfect sprinting form.  The FLEET FEET team offers her our heartfelt congratulations!
