Jane Klutenkamper: Ironman, Cancer Survivor

In 1991, at the age of thirty-three, Jane Klutenkamper was diagnosed with breast cancer. A nursing school student and a working, single mother of three children, she underwent eight rounds of chemo and a radical mastectomy. At times, she was so ill, she couldn’t get out of bed. Twenty-three years and ten Ironmans later, she qualified for the Ironman World Championship in Kona, Hawaii, cancer-free and one of the fastest women in her age group. Jane is a longtime friend of FLEET FEET St. Louis, and we couldn’t be prouder of her accomplishments in Kona!  Congratulations, Jane!
