adidas Adizero Adios Pro 3
Features
The adidas Adizero Adios Pro 3 takes your performance to the next level on race day.
The Adizero Adios Pro 3 is one of the best carbon-plated running shoes on the market today. The midsole consists of two layers of the resilient Lightstrike Pro foam that provides cushion and propels you throughout your run. Embedded in the midsole foam are ENERGYRODS 2.0 to give you the optimal level of stiffness and energy return.
Designers ran extensive tests in their labs and made a few changes to enhance the performance of the Adizero Adios Pro 3—they widened the base for more stability when racing around turns, made the ENERGYRODS 2.0 into one piece for smoother transitions, and cut out portions of the midsole to reduce weight.
A new lightweight upper provides support where runners need it the most. Athletes will notice a nice lockdown feel and snug heel in the redesign. There is also some internal midfoot support on the upper to allow you to run your best. Plus, adidas is committed to being more environmentally friendly and uses a minimum of 50% recycled content in the upper.
The outsole gives you great traction as you run as fast as you can. Extensive testing by adidas resulted in the placement of Continental rubber where runners toe-off to give you better traction and support as you sprint across the finish line.

What’s New
Continuously striving to build the fastest shoe, adidas made a few changes to the Adizero Adios Pro 3. The biggest change was made to the carbon rods. As opposed to the separated carbon rods in the forefoot and heel plate of adidas Adizero Adios Pro 2, the ENERGYRODS 2.0 now consist of a more holistic system that extends through the length of the shoe. The result is a smoother transfer of energy throughout the gait cycle. They also decreased the heel-to-toe drop and added more cushion in the forefoot for better transitions.
A slightly wider base provides stability as you fly around corners. Adidas added some cutouts to the midfoot to decrease the weight of the shoe based on extensive testing done in their labs. This testing also resulted in a new outsole design using a single layer of high-quality Continental rubber on the heel and midfoot of the shoe with a where runners land and push off for extra traction and support.
