A heel stabilizer supports the foot to give you a more balanced stride, while the gusseted tongue wing fit system improves the midfoot fit and reduces any tongue sliding. What’s New
ASICS Novablast 3 is even more comfortable and lighter thanks to its brand new upper. A new engineered monofilament mesh upper adds breathability to keep your feet cool. The new gusseted tongue and more supportive heel design give you a better fit than previous versions. Plus, they added FF BLAST PLUS foam (and an additional millimeter of stack height) to give you more cushion and bounce. All of these changes make it approximately 30g lighter than the ASICS Novablast 2.

Novablast 3. Narrow. Tough on peroneal tendon
Solid shoe after being broken in. I would recommend the newer version (Novablast 4) or the Gel Kayano if you have any ankle instability.

These shoes are great! Very light and comfortable. These are the first ASICS I have had in a long time. Very springy and the toe room is great. I would recommend these for any runner.

Incredible shoes!
These shoes are simple incredible. I typically only get around 300 miles out of any brand running shoe but I think I can get 400 out of these. Currently I'm around 325mi and the heel isn't even starting to wear out. Just an amazing shoe for speed work tempos easy days and long runs.

Nova Blast 3’s
This is an excellent daily trainer! I’ve put 200 miles on it really fast! The treads are holding up well! It is a versatile trainer and one I choose more often than not in my training cycle. I’ve done recovery runs long runs with intervals and find it picks up the pace nicely. If you’re looking for a shoe that can do many things this is the one. Now the outsole has been mentioned but I’ve had no problem running in all conditions. Like all shoes you’ll find some slippage after extensive mileage. It did run a little long but I just went a half size down. The toe box is comfy. An excellent all around training shoe!

I got my boyfriend these as a Christmas gift. He loves the bouncy. Also he does all most all his long running in the shoe now. Because it is so comfortable.

Asics Novablst 3 don't believe the hype
the shoe build quality is outstanding. i believe it is over hyped when it comes to run quality. I also have the Saucony Triumph 20 and although slightly heavier it gives me a better energy return over the Novablast3. As for the fit it also runs long so order a half size smaller. I am going to return this shoe because even though i tightened the laces as much as possible i still felt it sliding as i ran. This is very disappointing as i was going to run in the at the Las Vegas Rock and Roll Marathon. instead i will take my Triumph 20s
