HOKA made this version of the Gaviota the softest yet without sacrificing stability. Designers widened the platform and changed the stability mechanism from a J-Frame to an H-Frame to accommodate the softer foam. The actual shoe is much too wide
I bought the Graviota 5 shoe 3 months ago so that I could walk 20-30000 steps per day while in Spain and have good arch support. The shoe feels very comfortable until you start to walk a lot. The toe box of the shoe is so wide that you find yourself stumbling over the shoe as you walk. Quite awkward at times. The sizing is also about a half an inch off.

Repeat buyer.
This is my 3rd pair of Hokas. Expensive but worth it. I don’t run I walk—a lot. Just like my previous Hokas they’re stable with a wide sole and well padded. There were cheaper options but this one just felt best for me.

GREAT Running Shoe
Got into serious running last July in preparation for my first 1/2 Marathon in October and all tolled ran 424 miles in 2023. To date I've run 288 miles on my first pair of Gaviota 5's and they have been by far the BEST pair of running shoes I've ever owned! They are beyond comfortable and provide the most stability I've ever had with Nike Asics and Brooks....combined! Shopping for my next pair today!

GREAT TEAM AT FLEET FEET!!!
My orthopedist recommended Fleet Feet as a great source to help with planar fanciatis. The team at Fleet Feet spent some time fitting me for insoles followed by trying several pair of shoes. Now Fleet Feet will be my only source for shoes!!!! Thanks to the two ladies that were at the store that night

Worth the Cost
These are THE BEST shoes I have ever worn. They are the most comfortable and fit like a glove! Well worth the price. Don’t sleep on these people!!!
