New Balance Fresh Foam 860 v12
Features
[Looking for the latest version? The New Balance 860 v13 is available now.]
The New Balance 860 v12 is refreshed with a sleek and more comfortable upper while giving you the same reliable support and stability runners and walkers love.
The newest 860 is a stability running shoe that feels slightly softer underfoot compared to previous versions yet is firm enough to prevent excess overpronation and ankle rolling. New Balance’s two-layer Fresh Foam midsole and firmer dual-density foam located under the midfoot and arch give you soft landings in the heel and responsive take-offs that make this shoe a perfect daily trainer for anyone looking for a little more stability or guidance out of their running shoe.
Your feet will stay cool and comfortable in the 860 v12 thanks to a breathable double jacquard upper. Strategic embroidery on the sides of the upper also give the shoe extra foot support while a refreshed heel design with reflective detailing cradles the heel for better ankle stability.
New Balance is often known for a roomy toe box, and the 860 v12 is no exception. A snug midfoot keeps the foot secure, and the generous space up front lets the toes wiggle during long runs whether you like running in thicker or thinner socks.
Durable and reliable, the New Balance 860 v12 is perfect for runners looking for a soft and stable ride for everyday miles on the road.

Older version better than new
I was on v10 and it gave better support to heel and feet arch . The extra sponges is not helping much in v12
Second Pair
I have gone from Saucony to Brooks and now NB. Flat and slide wide feet; runner/marathoner for 30+ years. These so far have the right support and stability I need as I get older.
Not the same
I need to live these because I have no other shoes but they are painfully narrow. I miss the 10’s and I have been trying to wear these narrow and painfully flat shoes but they are not the same. I’m going to have to break up and find an all together new running shoe. I fell in love with the 10’s a few years back but the newer models aren’t the same and I’m wasting my time and heart and my feet on you.
Walking on Air
This is my third pair - white lavender and now black! They are very comfortable and they aid in my balance. They were recommended to me by the biomechanics therapist working with me. I am walking better. The shoes are structurally sound the material allows your feet to breathe and the foam insoles are very supportive. I will be buying another color soon - fashion is not sacrificed with these shoes..

Perfect 860
Have worn this model for years. It’s perfect for my feet issues. Love this new blue/green color. This year’s shoe is also easier to slip on even though I have a shoe horn.
New Balance shoes
Great shoes! Totally satisfied!
Available in extra wide!
My regular running shoe brand narrowed their toe box so I went in search of a cushy stable women's shoe. The women's New Balance shoes I purchased came in extra wide and it made a tremendous difference in my run! Issues I had been having with my knees subsided. I subtracted one star in my rating because the shoes are not as cushioned as I am used to and the arch support is less than I had in my Saucony shoes. Still the extra wide option will make this my go-to shoe when I need a new pair.
Most Comfortable Shoe
I love love love these shoes and they love my feet. I have neuropathy in my feet. I find New Balance to be the most consistently comfortable shoe for me to wear. Fleet Feet was the only store where I could find this color and style Thank you to both companies for my contented and comfortable smile.
