Group Training for Marathoners of All Levels
The Official CIM Training Program has everything you need to run your first or your fastest marathon: experienced coaches, ability-based training plans, marathon specific seminars, discounted tune-up races, race-day premium amenities, and so much more!
All participants receive a daily marathon training plan designed for three different goals: Finish, Improve, and Perform. Choose which plan is right for you, and switch between plans as needed. Meet up with the group twice per week—a weekday speed workout, and a weekend long run. Work with Fleet Feet running coaches every step of the way.

- Dates: June 10 - December 8, 2024

Ability-Based Marathon Training Plans
- Finish: Complete your first marathon. Designed for athletes who have not completed a marathon, or have not compLeted a marathon recently. Best for athletes whose recent training volume has been 15-20 miles per week or 3-4 hours per week.
- Improve: Become a faster, stronger marathoner. Designed for athletes who have completed a marathon recently, or have completed several half marathons recently. Best for athletes whose recent training volume has been 20-35 miles per week or 4-6 hours per week.
- Perform: Compete in your age group, capture an ambitious PR, or qualify for a dream race. Designed for experienced runners who have completed a marathon or many half marathons recently. Best for athletes whose recent training volume has been more than 35 miles per week.
Group Practices
Practices are held on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Days and times vary by location. Choose one weekday and one weekend day per week. You can attend any practice you'd like (you don't need to stick to one location or the same weekly practice).
Weekday Group Speed Workouts: 60-75 minute fully coached workout geared towards increasing fitness, strength, and speed.
Weekend Group Long Runs: Gradually increase your mileage each week with guidance from coaches and mentors. Simulate race day with course markings and aid stations.

Your fellow trainees will make the group runs fun. They’ll keep you motivated when the workouts get difficult. They’ll keep you accountable when you feel too tired to show up. And they'll celebrate all of your achievements, from the first training run to the finish line!

Registration Details
Training fee does not include any race entry fee. Dogs, children under 18, and strollers are prohibited at Fleet Feet CIM Training group training runs.
Refunds and Credits
If you cancel your registration for CIM Training BEFORE the start date of your program, you can choose between a refund of your registration fee or a credit in the amount of your registration fee. You can apply your credit to 2025 CIM Training or another Fleet Feet Training Program.
If you cancel your registration for CIM Training ON OR AFTER the start date of your program, you will receive a prorated credit towards 2025 CIM Training or another Fleet Feet Training Program. Prorated credits will be calculated by subtracting the duration of the training program that has already occurred from the total duration the training program.
