Vendor Day with Mizuno

On Saturday, February 22 from 10 am to 4 pm, visit our Oro Valley location and learn about all things Mizuno.  

In 1906, Rihachi Mizuno and his younger brother Rizo founded “Mizuno Brothers Ltd.” in Kita Ward, Osaka. The shop sold western sundries, including baseballs. 

In 1913, Mizuno began manufacturing of baseballs and baseball gloves, and in 1921, planning for the production of golf clubs began. Mizuno began selling shoes in the United States in 1980 and since that time have developed some of the best running shoes in the industry. 

First introduced to the U.S. market in 1997, Mizuno’s Wave running shoes quickly gained a following as one of the most innovative and technologically advanced brands.  

The basic structure of the Wave allows the cushioning midsole to disperse the impact forces of running by spreading it out more evenly through the shoe. 

Dispersal of the impact forces over a wider area, allows for a smoother heel-toe-transition and because of the Wave, the foot doesn’t sink into the midsole, allowing for energy savings. We aren’t making any claims that wearing a Mizuno Wave shoe makes you run faster, but you may find you run easier and without some of the pounding associated with running.
